E-commerce sites are typically at a disadvantage when it comes to getting them recognized by search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. This is mainly due to the fact that eCommerce sites often feature little-if any-unique content that's useful, copy and pasted product descriptions from the manufacturer, cluttered or no internal linking at all and no content generated by the user. Nevertheless, eCommerce SEO is still far from being impossible-these sites just present a new challenge that require a shift from the typical generic SEO techniques. Whereas generic SEO can easily be done by individuals with little to no experience on search engine optimization.
