Full Version: Can I protect my domain with additional tools, not just with my password?

Hi,

by default if someone cracks or discovers my password for my domain control panel, I am going to lose my domain, right? Because he/she will first login to my control panel, then change the password, then change the email, then transfer the domain.

Is there a way to apply additional security layers? For example, every time I login, I could receive an SMS to my mobile phone, and I had to enter the one-time security code I received. With this system you had to steal also my mobile phone and password, which is much harder

Is such a service available? Or any other protection besides a single password?
Well no because to transfer a domain they require a separate password which is given to you upon registering your domain, this password will not be in the same email account as the domain as you would not have had those email addresses created at that time. Even if they somehow managed to transfer your domain your website would remain on the server and you can contact your web host to transfer the domain back and have all your passwords changed
Also just another point a web hosting firm can add the option that if someone tries to log into your web hosting admin panel then after x amount of times trying to guess your password then they will lock the admin panel for a set time.
If you can get an account at Fabulous, you can lock your domains so they cannot be transferred out.
